Board feet calculator
Calculate sawn-lumber volume and a price estimate from board dimensions.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
One board foot is 144 cubic inches. Board feet per piece = thickness in inches × width in inches × length in feet ÷ 12. Multiplies by count and your unit price. Uses the dimensions you enter, which may be actual or nominal according to your supplier’s pricing convention; it does not infer surfaced sizes, log yield, tax or waste.
