Capsule volume & area
Measure a cylinder with two hemispherical ends.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
A capsule is a right circular cylinder plus two hemispheres. Volume = πr²L + 4πr³/3, external area = 2πrL + 4πr², and end-to-end length = L + 2r. Enter only the straight section length. At zero straight length the shape is a sphere.
