A clear answer. Here’s how.

First-fit allocates complete parties in source order to the first table with enough free seats. Rejects a party larger than table capacity and exports table totals/spare seats. Up to 1,000 parties. This heuristic is not a guaranteed minimum-table solution and does not model preferences, accessibility, reserved places or venue constraints.

First-fit allocation in source order keeps parties together. This heuristic need not minimise tables; it does not model social preferences, accessibility or reserved seats.
