Histogram frequency table
Bin a numeric list into equal-width intervals with cumulative counts.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
Uses equally spaced edges from the minimum to the maximum. Bins include their lower edge and exclude their upper edge, except that the last bin includes the maximum. Constant data produce one zero-width bin. Reports counts, relative frequencies and cumulative counts without choosing an optimal binning model.

Worked example
A fixed demonstration, separate from the values you enter above.
- Values, separated by commas or new lines
- 2, 4, 4, 4, 5, 5, 7, 9
- Equal-width bins
- 5
Example result
| Lower edge (included) | Upper edge (last bin includes) | Count | Relative frequency | Cumulative count |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 2 | 3.4 | 1 | 0.125 | 1 |
| 3.4 | 4.8 | 3 | 0.375 | 4 |
| 4.8 | 6.2 | 2 | 0.25 | 6 |
| 6.2 | 7.6 | 1 | 0.125 | 7 |
| 7.6 | 9 | 1 | 0.125 | 8 |
Upper edges are excluded except in the final bin.
