Halftone dot image
Turn a picture into a regular grid of ink dots on a chosen paper colour.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
Averages weighted RGB luma within each square cell after compositing transparency on white. Dot radius is half the cell’s smaller dimension multiplied by square root of darkness. Full-dark cells still use an inscribed circle, leaving corner space; this is a stylised dot effect, not calibrated print screening or an exact area-tone reproduction. Supports PNG/JPEG/WebP up to 10 MB and 4 million decoded pixels per file. Browser decoding and single-frame PNG re-encoding remove source metadata/colour profiles; no files leave this device.
