Photo and PDF metadata viewer
See the hidden data in a JPEG, PNG, WebP or PDF: camera and phone, date, GPS location, author and software.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
Reads the file on your device without changing it. For JPEG it parses the Exif block (camera make and model, dates, lens, serial numbers, the GPS position converted to decimal degrees, an embedded thumbnail), XMP and IPTC (author, caption, keywords) and comments. For PNG it reads text chunks (including compressed ones), Exif, the modification time and content-credential data; for WebP the Exif and XMP chunks; for PDF the document information (title, author, creator, producer, dates), XMP, attachments, scripts, comments and page-level metadata. It also reports data stored after the end of an image, which can hold leftovers of an earlier version (the “aCropalypse” bug). Each row is marked by why it matters: location, device, person or date. Up to 30 MB per file. Password-protected PDFs are not supported. Files are read and changed in this browser only and are never uploaded.
