Moving average calculator
Smooth an ordered numeric series with a complete trailing window.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
For each complete trailing window, takes an unweighted arithmetic mean. Earlier positions without a full window are blank; the window cannot exceed the series length. Input order is preserved, with no date inference, missing-value imputation or prediction beyond the supplied series.
