Liquid orifice discharge
Estimate discharge from head, circular opening size and a supplied coefficient.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
Uses Q=Cd·A·sqrt(2gh) for an incompressible liquid discharging from a large reservoir at a supplied constant head. Area is the geometric opening area; Cd is provided by you and is not inferred from edge shape. Downstream pressure, approach velocity, unsteady tank levels and gas compressibility are not modelled.
