Percentage difference
Compare two non-negative values symmetrically.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
Percentage difference = |a−b| ÷ ((a+b)/2) × 100. Neither value is treated as the original. For an original-to-new comparison, use Percentage change instead. Two zero values give zero difference by convention.
