2D polar & Cartesian converter
Convert planar coordinates while keeping angle and zero-radius conventions explicit.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
Cartesian output uses X=r cos θ and Y=r sin θ. Polar output uses r=hypot(X,Y) and the principal atan2 angle in [−180°,180°]. Angles are counter-clockwise from positive X; zero radius has no defined direction. Only fields belonging to the selected input form affect the calculation. This converts planar coordinates, without geographic or 3D conventions.
