Coordinate from distance & bearing
Find a spherical destination from a starting point and initial bearing.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
Moves along a great-circle arc on a 6,371 km sphere. Normalises the initial bearing and resulting longitude; distance is limited to less than half the circumference. Starting exactly at a pole is rejected because its north-reference bearing is ambiguous. No map, obstacles, terrain, magnetic declination or route guidance is supplied.
