GeoJSON points to CSV
Extract Point and MultiPoint coordinates into an ordinary downloadable table.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
Checks the supported GeoJSON structure, then extracts Point/MultiPoint positions, including those inside GeometryCollections. Other geometries are skipped and counted. CSV contains feature index, per-geometry point index, longitude, latitude and optional altitude; bare geometries use feature index zero. Properties are omitted. Coordinates are finite JavaScript numbers for CSV, while other JSON tools preserve numeric text.

Worked example
A fixed demonstration, separate from the values you enter above.
- GeoJSON
- {"type":"FeatureCollection","features":[{"type":"Feature","properties":{"name":"Example"},"geometry":{"type":"Point","coordinates":[-0.1278,51.5074]}}]}
Example result
| Feature index (0 = bare geometry) | Point index | Longitude | Latitude | Altitude (if supplied) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | 1 | -0.1278 | 51.5074 |
1 point positions extracted; 0 non-point geometries skipped. Coordinates are exported as finite JavaScript numbers; properties are not included.
