Arrhenius rate ratio
Compare rate constants at two absolute temperatures using an activation energy.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
Assuming unchanged pre-exponential factor and activation energy, ln(k₂/k₁)=−Ea/R × (1/T₂−1/T₁). Converts kJ/mol to J/mol and uses R=8.31446261815324 J/(mol·K). Reports the logarithmic ratio even when the ordinary ratio exceeds floating-point range. This compares rate constants, not complete reaction time, conversion or a changed mechanism.
