Brine percentage calculator
Distinguish salt as a percentage of water from salt as a percentage of final brine.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
For a water-weight percentage p, salt = p × water. For a final-brine mass fraction p, salt = p × water/(1 − p). Reports both definitions and the combined mass. This is two-ingredient mass arithmetic, without food displacement, salt already present, solubility, preservation or a validated recipe.
