Greybody radiative heat exchange
Compare emitted power and net exchange with a large surrounding environment.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
Converts temperatures to kelvin and uses εσAT⁴ for emission and εσA(Tsurface⁴−Tsurroundings⁴) for net radiative loss, with σ≈5.670374419×10⁻⁸ SI. Negative net power means radiative gain. Assumes a diffuse grey surface facing a large isothermal enclosure with effective view factor one. Conduction, convection, spectral variation and finite-enclosure geometry are excluded.
