Knitting & crochet gauge planner
Turn a measured swatch into stitch and row counts, including repeat multiples.
A clear answer. Here’s how.
Calculates stitches and rows per cm from your measured swatch. Selects the nearest non-negative whole repeat count, then adds edge stitches; exact half-repeat ties round up. Rows round to the nearest whole row. Reports the actual resulting dimensions. Gauge should be measured in the intended stitch after the intended finishing/blocking. This is a rectangular panel calculation, without shaping.
